Two magical excursions come together in one perfect tour as we take you on a historic journey through the beautiful cities of Girona and Figueres. From sets of Game of Thrones to the birthplace of Salvador Dali, this is one trip you will remember for years to come!
Starting with a guided walking tour through the pretty streets of Girona, “the City of Four Rivers”, you will be mesmerised by the medieval charm of this gorgeous city. Be it the famous hanging houses near the Onyar River - one of the most iconic sights in the city, or the magnificent Girona Cathedral where the infamous scene from Season 6 of Game Of Thrones - Margaery’s atonement - was shot, the city is pure visual poetry. As you ramble around the promenade of La Libertad, you can see some of the biggest attractions in Girona, including the Sant Pere de Galligants, Arab Baths, one of the best preserved Jewish Quarters in Europe and so much more.
The charming city of Figueres, home to the incredible Salvador Dali, will impress you equally with its old Gothic architecture and old-school cobbled streets. Exploring this picturesque little city will get you up close and personal with the Spanish artist’s eclectic life and flamboyant inspirations, from his house to the Church of San Pedro where he was baptised. The icing on the cake? A ticket to the exquisite Teatre-Museu Dalí housing some of his best works including The Spectre of Sex-appeal, Galatea of the Spheres and of course, the impeccable geodesic dome that is part of the museum-theatre’s architecture. A visit to this museum is an experience to say the least, exposing you to the unforgettable work of one of the best artists of all times!
