Girona Guided Tour:
Reach the meeting point at the scheduled time for the start of the tour. You will be driven in a comfortable air-conditioned bus to Girona, the largest city in northern Catalonia with one of the best preserved Jewish quarters in Europe. Enjoy a guided walking tour of the city centre, see the Cathedral in the old city centre, explore its well-preserved medieval streets and its brightly-coloured houses at the edge of the Onyar river bank.
You will also enjoy some free time in Girona where you can explore the city’s artistic heritage. The Girona tour ends at the Julia Travels office at Balmes 5, downtown, where you have 35 minutes of free time to enjoy lunch before embarking on the second leg of the tour.
Montserrat Guided Tour:
Hop back onto the bus for a scenic journey through the countryside to Montserrat, the magical mountains of Catalonia. You will be enjoying breath-taking views of the mountains and visiting the Santa Maria de Montserrat Abbey, a monastery and pilgrimage site that has drawn religious visitors for centuries.
Enjoy a cogwheel train ride into the heart of the monastery and take in the scenic landscape from the panoramic windows during the journey. See the famous 12th century Romanesque carving of Verge Moreneta (the Black Madonna). Founded in 1025, the monastery provides a mystical backdrop for the Virgin of Montserrat, the patron saint of Catalonia who is enshrined in the monastery's Royal Basilica.
Explore on your own, enjoy the audio-visual exhibition about the history and creation of Montserrat and taste liquors handmade by the monks of the monastery (both included in the package).
After the tour, you will be driven back to Barcelona, to the starting point from where you can make your own way back to the hotel.

Correct dress code is required for entry to the Basilica at Montserrat. Tank tops, strapless shirts, short shorts or sandals are not permitted.
Please be aware that some walking is included during this tour. Comfortable clothes and footwear are recommended.
At Montserrat, depending on the season, clothes protecting you from the rain and/or cold are recommended.
